Here are some block-ins I did between cast drawing and painting. Block-ins are an exercise done at the atelier to learn how to quickly and accurately judge proportion and shape. You can learn more about the block in process, as well as see some more student work, over on the Safehouse Atelier Blog. I guess these weren't technically done in a sketchbook, unless you count a 14x17 pad of canson sketch paper. I just wasn't sure what else to file them under. I did plenty more of these, just got to get around to scanning them.
